"Today was quite nerve-wracking in the final stretch, with the wind. The team did a brilliant job again to get me into position for the finish. Normally, I hate that sort of thing. I don’t think I’ve ever been in such a good position in a finale!

Day by day, I feel that more and more people know my name. That’s nice.

I want to keep the jersey for as long as possible. The last three stages are going to be very, very tough, so I’ll have to be strong and I’ll have to fight.

To be honest, my race has already been a success. Anything that happens now is a bonus. We’ll try to secure a good overall classification on Sunday, but whatever happens, it’ll be a success."
