La Bridoire, a municipality in western Savoie near Lake Aiguebelette, is closely linked to the Classique des Alpes Juniors cycling race, created by A.S.O. in 1995 and finishing in the village since 2012. It lies along the Five Lakes cycle route and benefits from many walking trails.
La Bridoire has celebrated prestigious winners: Rémy Rochas, Maxim Van Gils, Cian Uijdebroeks, Jarno Widar and Paul Seixas are among the riders who have raised their arms on the finish line. On two occasions, the happiest person at the finish in La Bridoire was Roland Paret-Peintre, as he applauded the victories of his grandsons, Aurélien in 2013 and Valentin in 2019.
It was also with the support of a local family, the Baups, that the Classique des Alpes Juniors found its way to the town, where Christian Billard was then mayor. Michel Baup, organiser of the Alpes Isère Tour, together with Pierre and David Baup, mapped out the finish in La Bridoire.
