Situated between Italy and the Vanoise National Park, Val-Cenis comprises five villages (Bramans, Sollières-Sardières, Termignon, Lanslebourg and Lanslevillard) and is the second largest municipality in France in terms of surface area. Val-Cenis is also a major ski resort, with 125 km of pistes and a summit at an altitude of 2,800m. From mid-December to mid-April, the Mont-Cenis road, used by the Critérium, becomes the longest green run in Europe. Along with its wide open spaces, cycling and outdoor adventures, in the summer Val-Cenis is home to Europe's highest water sports base on the Mont-Cenis plateau, where the final stage of the 2025 Critérium will also finish. With the “Flocon Vert" (Green Snowflake) label, Val-Cenis has always been committed to sustainable and innovative mountain development (France's first electric snow groomer, dynamic pricing for ski passes, etc.), while at the same time developing its identity: unspoilt nature, vibrant villages all year round, high-altitude agriculture and a thousand-year-old heritage.
