"A small breakaway got away. We quickly realised that the sprinter teams wanted to control the race, the gap went down to around 50 seconds… I caught them by surprise to counter-attack and I got back to the front with Thibault Guernalec. We then tried to manage the situation on some tough roads. We tried to hold off the peloton on the climbs and make up time on the descents......

Paul Ourselin: "I’m motivated for tomorrow"

"When the peloton came back to within a minute, Benjamin Thomas made his move and it turned into a really nice battle, with the sprinters' teams really pushing hard. Tomorrow, it will be my turn to go back out there.

I calculated my move, knowing that with the points I had earned in the first two stages, I could keep the jersey until Friday. I then made sure to recover...
